Now that beach season is coming up, on this side on the planet at least, products like the above towel make me look. HANS IM GLÜCK by Jan Dobmaier is a Towel and bag in one. I can’t decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing. What advantage does the TowelBag have. Was it created for those who just don’t have time to “find a bag” or perhaps it was invented to help those who are “bag-phobic”. Either way it’s available here if you need one.
This is a very creative idea, using dumpsters in neighborhoods for different utilities and sports. E.g. as a swimming pool, garden box, skate half-pipe, and ping-pong table. Link
The trailer is out for “Where the Wild Things Are” directed by by Spike Jonze, a film version of the classic 1963 children’s book by Maurice Sendak. The film will be in theaters on October 16th, 2009. Can’t wait!

The Presenter:
Detroit photographer Blake Discher specializes in people photography for leading editorial publications and Fortune 500 corporations for advertising and annual reports throughout the world.
Blake’s fascination with photography began in the eighth grade and he’s been hooked ever since. He unselfishly shares his knowledge with students and other photographers through his involvement with the American Society of Media Photographers, most recently as an educator in ASMP’s successful Strictly Business 2 conferences.
It’s Blake’s keen ability to make subjects feel at ease in front of the camera that takes him around the world to produce award-winning photographs for clients such as General Motors, DaimlerChrysler, American Airlines and Oracle.
A professional photographer for 20 years, he shares his home with his wife Lesley and his four year old son Blake. In case you haven’t been keeping up on current events - Obama will make “history” when he becomes the first sitting U.S. president to appear on a late night talk show (Leno). I’m not a huge Leno fan but I believe this will be worth watching or at lease setting the DVR to record. More info here.
