Who knew two hidden cameras a bunch of kids and one marshmallow could be so much fun. This made me smile.

ejection-chairs

We’ve all wished we had an eject button to remove ourselves from our office environment at one time or another, and MotoArt Ejection Chairs ($TBA) get you about as close to that dream as you’re ever going to get. Made from authentic B-52 Stratofortress and F-4 Phantom Jet Fighter seats, these office chairs are made by technicians who strip the original seat of all old material, then repair, grind, sand, and polish the frame to a high gloss aluminum finish, adding sturdy custom aluminum bases and modern seat fabrics to give them a more workplace friendly feel.

gas-powered-blender

I’m not going to go so far as to say that I “need this” but I will add this to my Christmas list and underline it twice. This chromed-out Gas Powered Blender ($285) sports a 2 stroke, 43cc gas powered variable speed engine, motorbike-style handle bars, an 85 oz stainless steel pitcher, and polyurethane coating for added durability. It’s the sensible alternative to cutting ice with a chainsaw.

starbucks

Starbucks is testing their new iPhone app that lets you pay using just the Starbucks Card Mobile app on your iPhone/iPod touch. Just enter your card number and your device will displaya barcode you can use the same way as your Starbucks Card to make a purchase.

The app is currently being tested in Starbucks stores located in Seattle, WA, Cupertino, CA and Mountain View, CA, conveniently, the homes of digital powerhouses Microsoft, Apple and Google, respectively.

This app is an example of a revolutionary convergence between your wallet and smart phone. As well as a brand intersecting technology to shape consumer loyalty programs. Now the stage is set for Starbucks to employ an innovative digital couponing program. Stay Tuned. Found via amnesiablog

walk

Not that I ever did much walking in the first place.  Honda’s surprisingly compact U3-X: The device weighs less than 10 kilos (about 22 pounds). Applications? Honda’s not sure, but they are suggesting potential future usage in airports and hotels. The concept is based off Honda’s robot. I don’t care as long as the Honda scooter is FASTER than the Honda Robot.

ikea-catalog

The new IKEA catalogue is out! The catalogue is published in 55 different editions, in 27 languages for 35 countries. It has surpassed the Bible as the most published work, estimated 175 million copies (2006) worldwide. The first catalogue was published in 1951. Take a look at this one from 1965.

times

If you use Twitter (and you should) then you are probably flowing Justin Halpern. Basically he’s 29 lives with his 73-year-old dad (who is awesome) and writes down all the funny stuff that his dad says. A bit of an internet phenomena, Justin’s Twitter page went from few hundred followers a day to a few hundred per minute. Landing Justin book deals and television appearances. If you can stomach all the swearing it’s an interesting story how it all came to be. Mark Milian of the Los Angeles Times did a story on Justin and his rise to fame.

will

So if you have not seen this yet it’s worth a look. I love the part about how health insurance companies have to charge so much so they can afford health insurance. Brilliant!

onion1

The last give away was SO popular we decided to have another. Up for grabs is a slightly used copy of  The Onion Ad Nauseam: Complete News Archives.

For me the onion is always worth my time, intelligent and funny with just a pinch of crass.  I can’t help but read it every week. It’s so good in fact, I thought I would throw this book on the blog and see if anyone out there wants it.

All you have to do to be eligible is comment on this posting. We will randomly select the winner before next week’s newsletter and mail you the book. It’s that simple. Post anything you want: a joke, a link to your blog -  whatever. Just post your comments before 5:00pm Friday.
